Martin Bechthold is an architect and practised for 8 years with Santiago Calatrava and von Gerkan, Marg & Ptnrs as well as other leading edge practices. He is now focussing on teaching and a small design and consulting practice in the USA. He is known to have undertaken some of the most innovative research in the area of surface structures.
