In 2018, the University of Girona's Mathematics Unit participated in the same University's pilot programme to support initiatives and activities in the fields of research dissemination and social commitment. This involved creating different activities for children that promoted the logical-mathematical reasoning, from an artistic point of view, and the diffusion of fuzzy logic. This exhibition was conceived as a result of the Unit participating in the programme. Its aim is to show different sequences of non-binary thinking that can be modelled using fuzzy subset theory. Artist Queralt Viladevall was the person commissioned to create the visual material for the exhibition. The main purpose of the works was to capture the unsolvability of the sorites paradox and therefore show that certain situations are impossible to classify. This booklet constitutes the exhibition catalogue and formally describes all of the works on display.
