About the Author Versed in art and design, Kungchinchin is the founder of Double Rice Work Company Limited, a lecturer in Illustrations and Comics at CUSCS, and a freelance artist. She is almost as passionate about writing, cooking, music and philosophy as she is about her life's work painting. Kungchinchin's interest in painting was sparked at age five, when she received a tin Staedtler set from her father. She quickly came to realise the intriguing possibilities of its 48 watercolour pencils wet blending, colour mixing, colour gradations, and more. This hands-on experience eventually led her to develop a range of artistic skills in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel painting, ceramics, and Painter digital art. Pablo Picasso once said 'Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life'. With this in mind, Kungchinchin draws her inspiration from the everyday: with their subtle blend of characters, space, and succinct messages, her illustrations bridge the gap between the artist and the readers.
